Write for us
Emerald Garden Journal welcomes thoughtful pitches about garden ecology and observation. We are interested in clear explanations that help readers understand relationships among soil, plants, water, wildlife and seasonal change.
What to pitch
Propose a focused question with a clear reader benefit: for example, an explanation of a garden pattern, a comparison of approaches, or a piece about how a seasonal change affects a living garden. We prefer subjects that remain useful without relying on statistics, personal testing or local rules.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the central idea, why it matters to a general reader and how you would explain it accurately. Note any important limits or conditions, and identify material that would need checking. Do not send confidential information or present professional medical, legal or financial advice.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; please include enough detail for us to understand the subject and your approach.
