Emerald Garden Journal

Editorial policy

Emerald Garden Journal aims to make garden ecology clear without making it sound simpler than it is. Our articles distinguish general explanation from advice that depends on a particular garden or its conditions.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against suitable information before publication and use language that reflects what is known. Where a subject is uncertain or depends on context, we say so. Articles are written for general understanding, not as a substitute for specialist help with a specific problem.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and clarity. Payment or a partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval. Sponsored articles, paid placements and other partner material are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work.

Corrections and illustrations

If a published article contains a material error, we correct it and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can report possible errors through the Contact page. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs.
